Manufacturing and JIT supply chain
Manufacturing logistics and JIT supply chain
A stalled production line costs far more than a freight bill. We run regular UK and European routes timed to your schedule, with customs handled in-house on every cross-border leg, and a dedicated contact who knows your account, not a call centre.
JIT delivery, built around your schedule
JIT (Just In Time) delivery means your stock arrives when your line needs it, not days early to clog your floor or late to stop production. We run scheduled inbound runs from your European suppliers and timed outbound delivery of finished goods, using regular groupage runs where a full trailer isn't needed and a dedicated vehicle when it is. For the routes and frequencies behind this, see our European road freight service.
Inbound: raw materials on time
We collect from your suppliers on a fixed schedule, clear the goods through customs, and deliver to your site. Many manufacturing inputs (paints, solvents, adhesives, resins) are ADR (the regulations for carrying dangerous goods by road) classified, and we're ADR specialists, so we can carry the regulated parts of your supply chain that other carriers refuse. See our hazardous and ADR logistics page.
Outbound: finished goods to your customers
From the factory gate to your UK and European customers, on our own liveried fleet, through Palletline, the UK pallet network of 93 depots, or across our European routes. We can also hold your finished goods in our warehousing and 3PL facility and dispatch to schedule. See our palletised distribution and road haulage services.
Customs handled, so the line keeps moving
A cross-border supply chain has a customs layer that can stop your goods at the border, and your line with them. Our in-house customs team handles it on every European leg, as part of the service rather than a separate supplier. See our customs clearance service.
When something goes wrong
Delays happen in any supply chain. What matters is who you call and how fast it's fixed. You get a dedicated contact who knows your account, proactive updates, and a clear escalation path to a director, not a ticket in a queue. It's what supply-chain managers tell us matters most when a delivery is at risk.

Questions, answered
- How do you hit the delivery windows a JIT line needs?
We run scheduled, regular routes rather than ad-hoc bookings, with one contact managing your account and live tracking on every load, so deliveries arrive in the window your line is built around.
- What happens if a delivery is delayed?
You call your dedicated contact, not a call centre, and we work the problem with a clear escalation path. Proactive updates mean you usually hear from us before it becomes your problem.
- Can you run a regular weekly or daily European schedule?
Yes, our regular European routes are built for this. See our European road freight service for the schedule.
- Can you handle hazardous raw materials?
Yes, we're ADR specialists, so regulated inputs travel as part of your regular run. See our hazardous and ADR logistics page.
- Can you handle both inbound supply and outbound distribution?
Yes, inbound raw materials from your suppliers and outbound finished goods to your customers, across the UK and Europe.
- Do you handle the customs on European runs?
Yes, in-house, on every cross-border leg, so customs is part of the service. See our customs clearance service.
