We've been ADR specialists since 1973, we're members of the Hazchem network with emergency response on every hazardous load, and we run our own in-house customs team. What does a logistics company do?

A logistics company moves your goods and manages everything around the journey: transport, storage, customs and tracking. Sims Group handles the lot from one place, so freight can be stored, carried across the UK or into Europe, cleared through customs and delivered on proof of delivery, without you juggling four suppliers.

Do you cover Europe as well as the UK?

Yes. We run daily road freight across all European countries alongside UK haulage and pallets, with customs handled in-house on the same shipment. Our European road freight is collect-and-deliver on the same vehicle, so your load is not transhipped between operators.

Are you a broker, or do you run your own fleet?

We run our own liveried fleet with our own drivers, so the vehicle that collects your load carries our name, not a subcontractor's. Where a job needs a network, such as UK pallets through Palletline or worldwide sea and air, we use trusted partners and stay accountable for the whole route.

Can you carry hazardous or dangerous goods?

Yes, that is our specialism. We have been ADR (the regulations for carrying dangerous goods by road) specialists since 1973, we are members of the Hazchem network, and every hazardous load is backed by an emergency response service. See hazardous and ADR logistics.

Where are you based?

We are family-run and based near Manchester, with offices in Birmingham, Tilbury and Bristol, covering the UK's main motorway and port regions. That puts us on the M60 and M62 for national routes and close to the major ports for import and export.
